Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Lung Score ("the app") and this website (lungscore.app), both operated by Nelvison Benedetto ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, or by using this website, you agree to these terms.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country — 14 in Italy) to use the app or create a Community account, or younger only with verifiable parental consent where your local law allows it.

PERSONAL, NON-COMMERCIAL USE

The app and website are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not resell, redistribute, or use their content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

HEALTH AND MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

The Lung Score, Risk Score, recovery timeline, and every other estimate the app shows are generated from placeholder coefficients inspired by public research — they are not clinically validated and are not a medical diagnosis, medical advice, or a substitute for consulting a qualified healthcare professional. Always consult a doctor before making health decisions, including decisions about quitting smoking or vaping. We are not liable for decisions made based on the app's estimates.

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

Some features require a paid subscription, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and processed via our subscription infrastructure provider, Adapty. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — we cannot cancel it for you. Free trial terms (if offered) and pricing are shown before you subscribe and are subject to change; existing subscriptions are honored at their original price until you change plans.

COMMUNITY CONTENT AND CONDUCT

The Community tab lets you post questions, milestones, and encouragement, visible publicly to anyone who opens the app, signed in or not. You are solely responsible for what you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display your content within the app. You agree not to post anything unlawful, harassing, medically dangerous (e.g. encouraging relapse or unsafe practices), spam, or infringing on someone else's rights. Every post and comment has a Report control, and any post or comment that collects multiple reports is automatically hidden pending review — you can also Block another user at any time to stop seeing their posts and comments (this only affects your own view; it doesn't notify or restrict the blocked user). We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, though as a small/early-stage app human review of reports may not always be immediate — if you see something that concerns you, contact us at lungscore.app@gmail.com.

YOUR ACCOUNT

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You can permanently delete your account and all associated content at any time — from Settings → Delete all data inside the app, or from this website at lungscore.app/community after logging in, which also explains exactly what's deleted, what isn't, and the timeline.

THIS WEBSITE

The marketing pages of lungscore.app are provided for information only. The Community login and account-deletion pages let you manage the same account you use in the app; they run against the same backend and are subject to these same terms.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The app's and website's design, code, branding, and non-user-generated content belong to us or our licensors. You don't get any ownership rights by using them, beyond the license described above.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The app and website are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of them, including reliance on health estimates or community content posted by other users.

TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Community features if you violate these terms. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms as the app and website change. We'll update the date above when we do; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country of residence may also apply alongside these terms.
